In 1917 three shepherd children in Fátima, Portugal said the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to them and gave them a message for the world. The Catholic Church later recognized those apparitions. Reports of others followed across the century, on nearly every continent.

This documentary examines the most widely reported of them: Fátima, Medjugorje in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kibeho in Rwanda, Garabandal in Spain, Betania in Venezuela, Naju in South Korea, and the Zeitoun sightings in Egypt. It includes footage of visionaries during reported apparitions, photographs from Egypt, and accounts of healings and conversions attributed to the events.

The Church has approved some of these apparitions, declined others, and left several without a final ruling. The film presents the reports, the witnesses, and the message the visionaries say they received.

Narrated by Ricardo Montalbán. Directed by Drew Mariani.
