After fifteen years of telling other people’s stories on television news, Kristin Dickerson decided to tell her own. She and her husband Peter Fleisher walked the Camino de Santiago, five hundred miles across northern Spain to the tomb of Saint James, carrying every piece of camera gear on their backs.

Six weeks is a long time to walk with someone. Things they had not dealt with started surfacing somewhere on the trail, and the film does not look away from that. What they found instead of easy answers were the other pilgrims, the villages, the history built into the road itself, and a marriage that came out the other side different than it went in.

Shot, written, edited, and hosted by the two of them. Dickerson is a national Edward R. Murrow, Gracie, and Emmy award winning journalist. Fleisher is an Emmy nominated drone pilot, and the aerial work here shows it.

Made for anyone who has thought about walking the Camino and for anyone who never will.
