Summary

I grew up attending religious education every week, and after high school I felt free from its routines until life took a hard turn through a painful divorce that deeply affected my kids. While driving on the New York State Thruway from Rochester to Syracuse on a Good Friday about five years ago, I called out to God and asked Him to prove His existence. In that moment, a specific song came on the radio that signaled a turning point. Later, I met a new partner during a coffee meeting, and we quickly established a connection. At the beginning of our dating relationship, I set clear boundaries by deciding to keep all physical relations off the table so that we could truly get to know each other and honor the precious gift from God. By February we started dating, and by October I asked her to marry me. Despite the challenges, our journey has led to a deep, respectful bond in our marriage that I now cherish and celebrate as a testimony of God’s guiding presence in rebuilding my life and family.
