Growing up in a Christian home in the South, I enjoyed church and its activities, but as I grew older, I rebelled against God—especially after enduring personal hurts like my father’s abandonment and abuse by male figures. I drifted into alcohol abuse, experimented with cannabis, and even immersed myself in New Age philosophies. However, a powerful and life-changing encounter with Jesus shattered all those deceptions. Overwhelmed by His unconditional love, I experienced a profound release of the burdens I had carried. That day, I not only received forgiveness for slandering His name but also began a radical transformation—getting baptized, getting married, and joining the worship team. My testimony is a snapshot of the journey from rejection and rebellion to restoration and a renewed purpose in Christ.
