My energy waned; thoughts became darker with each passing day until I reached a breaking point. I even kept a pistol in my dresser, and one day, overwhelmed by suicidal thoughts, I almost used it. In that critical moment, the unexpected sound of my daughter’s laughter in another room stirred me to step back. It was as if God intervened in that split second. From that day on, the weight of despair lifted. I came to realize that God cleared away those self-destructive thoughts, returned peace to my heart, and restored me to life. I now encourage anyone facing similar darkness to seek help and lean on God’s everlasting support.
