Summary

I had one of the most bizarre experiences—a hemorrhoid surgery on my nose—which oddly reminded me of God’s miraculous intervention in my life. Now at 72 and a half, I reflect on being born again in the early ‘80s and the urgency of sharing the free gift of salvation. I’m here to urge you to trust Jesus with your whole heart and to record your own testimony before your time runs out. Every word I share is a personal account of how God rescued me from sin and empowered me to live for His glory.

People are attracted to SUPERNATURAL STORIES that involve God. Your SALVATION CONVERSION TESTIMONY is one of the most supernatural demonstrations of God’s power He could have demonstrated in your lifetime, because it involved the surrender of YOUR will. That is NO SMALL MATTER! So PLEASE … tell the world about it! Give it to God to use to touch OTHERS! It is one of the GREATEST treasures you can lay up for God and yourself in heaven as Jesus in Matthew 6:19-21 exhorts believers to do. Long after you’ve been in heaven, God will keep using it over and over and over … and you will get to experience the JOY of it with God and His holy angels!

Tips on sharing your Salvation testimony:

Part 1 – BEFORE: Describe what your life was like before giving yourself to the Lord completely. What were your thoughts about God – spiritual matters? Struggles with hardships? Abuse? These are IMPORTANT FACTS that can draw people into your testimony, because it’s what multitudes can IDENTIFY with. People want HOPE out of their difficult situations.

Part 2 – DURING: Tell how you came to Him. Don’t skimp on details/facts.

Part 3 – AFTER: Describe what your life is like now. Brag on God and what He has done for you!

Part 4 – If you are sharing your testimony on video, DON’T use music in the background. It is distracting to the listener! Use a light to make sure people can clearly see your face. God thinks it is BEAUTIFUL, so show it off.

[I realize there isn’t a “One size fits all — one FORMAT fits all” when it comes to structuring one’s testimony. The guidelines above are pretty much standard guidelines for an unsaved – atheistic/agnostic/non-Christian audience. I also realize that there are many solid Christians who doesn’t have a “very dramatic” testimony to share that will grab the attention of the unsaved, (though they be fully saved — fully born again). ABOVE ALL … seek the Lord in these matters and trust Him to guide you.]

Eliminate noise/s that can drown out your voice quality. Poor quality sound of your voice is a turnoff.

Do not talk in Christian language. Talk or write in plain simple English. Remember your audience is a lost soul. Your purpose in writing or speaking this is to reach lost souls. Do not preach! Do not teach! Do not share your pet doctrines! Simply share what Jesus has done for you – means to you NOW – and will do for the reader.

Something to consider: You’ll find that the more you share your Salvation testimony out loud, the more impacting you’ll share it. Practice sharing it over and over on video, and pick the BEST version and THEN post it on YouTube.
