Becki’s Story
Summary
Hi, my name is Becky Peterson and this is my story. I was raised in the ‘70s in an environment where drugs, alcohol, and a “free spirit” lifestyle were the norm. Starting in high school at 16, I never went a day without a drink. Later, in my 30s, when my daughter Nicole warned me about my drinking, I reached a breaking point. That moment of crisis—when my husband’s concern and the realization of my destructive habits hit me hard—became the turning point in my life. I prayed fervently for help, and through God’s guidance, I was delivered from the grip of alcoholism. Today, I am sober, and I thank Jesus every day for the recovery and hope He has brought into my life.
