George is a scientist in Rotterdam who has stopped believing in what he does. When a friend running a field research station in Equatorial Guinea dies, he goes to take it over, back to a continent he left a long time ago.

The station is falling apart. A boy named Jimmy attaches himself to George, shows him the place, and quietly arranges an introduction to Corina, who runs the local orphanage. It starts to look like a life. Then a man from George’s past turns up, and the things George came here to leave behind arrive with him.

The first feature film ever shot in Equatorial Guinea. Isaach De Bankolé, winner of the César Award, with Juliet Landau and Stelio Savante. Directed by Rudolf Buitendach, photographed by Kees Van Oostrum, with an original score by Laurent Eyquem.

Grand Jury Prize, Arizona International Film Festival. Audience Award, St. Paul and Minneapolis International Film Festival. Best Indie Feature, Raindance Film Festival. Breakout Film Award, San Diego International Film Festival.
