Pastor Travis Carey grew up in Bangor, Maine and started experimenting with drugs and alcohol as a teenager. By 18, he was fully addicted to opiates. After nearly a decade of battling addiction, Travis hit his knees in a jail cell in 2014 and surrendered his life to Jesus Christ.

What happened next is a testimony only God could write. From the Calvary Residential Discipleship program, to the School of Ministry, to marriage, to serving in Hawaii, to planting Calvary Chapel Greater Portland in the middle of a global pandemic — Travis’s story is proof that no one is too far gone for the grace of God.

If you’re struggling right now, if you feel hopeless, if addiction has you in chains — this episode is for you. God is not done with you.
