At the next Storytime, Strawberry is going to read a new poem. We see her at the podium as she finishes writing it, one afternoon when no one else is in the café except Custard and Pupcake. Strawberry clears her throat and reads the poem aloud. It’s a simple, sweet rhyme about the magic of making wishes on falling stars. She tries a few different rhymes as she goes, noting them on her paper. She is startled to hear applause from Mr. Longface Caterpillar who has heard her recital. Strawberry asks him if he can help her finesse it – which, of course, he’s delighted to do. As the days before the next Storytime go by, Strawberry realizes that Mr. Longface has completely changed her poem.
