In this Happy Hubbard’s kindness episode, we set out to spread kindness and brighten the day of 10 random families.

Our kids had the opportunity to give flowers to people in our community, including a crossing guard, people leaving a hospital, and random strangers at a Halloween-themed shopping center.

But these weren’t just flowers. Each bouquet came with a handwritten, hand-drawn piece of artwork created by Aurie, making each gift even more personal. 🌸🎨

The goal of this family kindness activity was simple: spread kindness, give back to our community, and teach our kids that small acts of kindness can make a BIG difference.

For our kids, this was also an opportunity to practice something that can be really uncomfortable: getting out of their comfort zone, approaching people they don’t know, starting conversations, and safely doing something kind for other families.

And the best part? We got to see their reactions in real time. ❤️

Some people were hesitant.

Some were completely surprised.

Some immediately lit up.

All were incredibly grateful.

One of our favorite moments in this video was when Aurie realized just how good it felt to make someone else happy. After giving away the flowers, she said:

“I feel so good inside.” 🥹

That’s exactly what we hope our kids learn through experiences like this: kindness isn’t just something you talk about. It’s something you DO.
