It opens with the shelter of Psalm 91, moves through the unseen army on the hills of Dothan, holds steady at midnight with Paul and Silas in the prison at Philippi, reaches its centre at the plain outside Jericho where Joshua met the captain of the Lord’s army, and closes with Isaiah’s promise that those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength.
The captain was not waiting for your permission. He had already come.
