A militant atheist dies, encounters Jesus, goes to hell, and later is shown heaven.

In one of the most extraordinary episodes of Encounterable yet, Bryan Melvin shares his incredible near-death experience and journey from militant atheism to an encounter with Jesus Christ that changed his life forever.

In 1980, Bryan became critically ill after drinking contaminated water while working in Arizona. He says he left his physical body, immediately realised there was life after death, experienced a life review, and then found himself standing before Jesus.

What happened next was terrifying.

Bryan describes being taken into hell, seeing demonic beings, individual cells of torment, people arriving after death, supernatural deception, and a realm completely devoid of love, hope, mercy and compassion.

At his lowest moment, believing he was about to enter his own place of torment, Bryan says the demonic beings suddenly fled.

Jesus had come for him.

More than 45 years later, Bryan still becomes emotional describing Jesus picking him up, cradling him like a child and personally carrying him out of hell.

Bryan says that when he returned to his body, approximately four hours had passed.

But this incredible story does not finish with hell.

After returning, Bryan surrendered his life completely to Jesus Christ.

Then, about a year and eight months later, Bryan says he had another supernatural experience.

This time, Jesus took him to heaven.

Bryan describes walking with Jesus, the indescribable colours and beauty of heaven, the River of Life, the heavenly city, angels, people, animals and what he learned about God’s incredible love and faithfulness.
