Jacob Chavez spent 42 years trapped in legalistic churches and cult-like apostolic denominations while demons operated freely in his life the entire time. He spoke in tongues, attended Bible studies, and kept returning to church while the spirit of religion used it all as a trap. It was not until a friend cast out Leviathan in a park in Fresno, California that Jacob finally heard the demon speak out loud and reveal exactly how it had kept him confused, religious, and bound for over four decades. In this episode of Deliverance Diaries, Jacob breaks down how spiritual abuse opens doors to demonic oppression, what the spirit of religion actually does to a person, how he was delivered from Legion after 42 years, and what true salvation felt like the moment it finally happened.
