Money is tighter than it was. The answers have stopped coming. You lie awake doing sums in the dark, wondering whether the supply has been cut off. This is an 8 hour Christian sleep prayer for anyone in a dry season — a full night of Scripture and prayer for the part of your life you cannot see.

Genesis 49:25 gives a blessing in two directions. Heaven above, and the deep that lies beneath. Almost everyone reads only the first one. This overnight prayer stays with the second one: the water held in the rock, which the dry months cannot reach.

If this season has felt like being left on your own, start here:

Play it quietly and go to sleep whenever sleep comes. Nothing is asked of you.

Tell me in the comments: name one thing that grew this year that you did not plant.
