Even though Kristen Montgomery went to church regularly and attended Christian schools, she didn’t have a personal relationship with God and found value in friendships rather than in spiritual things. Upon accepting an invitation to come to ECBC with a friend, God revealed Himself to her, showing her that she was made to worship and pursue Him like He had pursued her. She surrendered her life to Christ and then found her fulfillment and acceptance in Him rather than through outward means.
