What was Ron Wyatt doing on June 10, 1993?

He was going to see Jurassic Park! πŸ¦–

In this special episode of ProverbsGuys Ministries, we step away from the archaeological controversies and share a fascinating personal story preserved by Ron’s friend Jim Pinkoski.

According to Jim’s journals, he was living in Nashville when Jurassic Park arrived in theaters. On June 10, 1993, Jim, Ron Wyatt, and Mary Nell went together to see Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Parkβ€”and Jim remembers that they thoroughly enjoyed seeing those incredible dinosaurs come to life on the big screen.

Then it happened AGAIN.

On May 25, 1997, Ron joined Jim and his wife Sandra to see The Lost World: Jurassic Park.

But this episode becomes about something much bigger than a trip to the movies.

Why are we so fascinated with dinosaurs? Whether you’re an eight-year-old kid or Ron Wyatt, there’s something about these incredible creatures that captures our imagination. Jurassic Park gave an entire generation the chance to imagine dinosaurs walking among mankind again.

And while Dr. Alan Grant was digging into the ancient past on the big screen, Ron Wyatt was spending his real life searching for evidence of Noah’s Ark, the Red Sea Crossing, Mount Sinai, and other events recorded in Scripture.

Ultimately, however, neither dinosaurs nor archaeological discoveries are the most important part of this story.

We know the dinosaurs aren’t coming back.

But Jesus Christ IS.

Jesus came because God loved us. He died for our sins, rose again on the third day, and promised:

“I will come again.” β€” John 14:3

So here’s the question:

We were ready when Jurassic Park brought dinosaurs back onto the big screen…

But are we ready for the return of Jesus Christ?

And if you happened to visit a Nashville movie theater on June 10, 1993, or May 25, 1997…

Who knows?

You just may have watched Jurassic Park with Ron Wyatt.
