Lauren Burns Returns: Kidnapped at 7, Rescued by Miracle, and Learning Forgiveness

Lauren Burns shares her 1987 kidnapping by her Jordanian Muslim father, the miraculous rescue that brought her home after three months, including her mother’s fasting and prayer and the intervention of ex-military veterans who located Lauren when JD Roberts, while praying, and the miracles that followed.

Lauren shares how the aftermath included PTSD, changing her name, moving 14 times, and staying hidden for years, and how writing her book, Stolen, and launching The Redeemed Podcast have been both costly and healing as God has called her to speak publicly while working full-time as a physical therapist. She explains forgiveness as surrendering bitterness to Jesus—not forgetting or excusing wrongdoing—and describes redemption through community, restored relationships, and family.
