Watch Guglielmo Massaja: An Illustrious Man of Note (2013) Full Movie on Vision Video

Take a journey into the life and mission of Guglielmo Massaja, a remarkable 19th-century Catholic missionary, Capuchin friar, and Cardinal. In the 1840s, Massaja was sent to Ethiopia to organize a church in disarray. The native Coptic Christians who were part of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church were interested in reunion with Rome, but Massaja’s efforts aroused the enmity of the Coptic Partrarch, resulting in banishment from the country. Massaja’s important and sometimes controversial work as a missionary, explorer, doctor, philanthropist, diplomat, and exemplary witness to the Gospel is explored in this comprehensive documentary of his life and times. Dubbed into English from Italian.
