My name is Steve, and I’m here to share a testimony that radically changed my life. I grew up as a devout Buddhist in South Korea and later immigrated to the United States. The pain of feeling out of place and the pressures of a strict cultural background led me into a life of partying and heavy drug use. In my desperate state, I reached a point where I believed that ending my life might spare me from eternal torment. One fateful day, after taking an extremely dangerous drug blend known as “the death bowl,” I attempted to end my life. In that dark moment, I encountered a horrifying vision—what I can only describe as a journey through hell, where a mysterious Asian “grandpa” figure offered me a grim deal: sacrifice myself and reduce my time in hell by 50,000 years. Amid unbearable agony and vivid spiritual terror, I finally dropped my knife and was rushed to the hospital. There, in the midst of near-death, I experienced an out-of-body encounter that revealed the stark reality of sin and eternal separation from God. Through hours of prayer, the faithful intervention of compassionate pastors, and the undeniable power of the Holy Spirit, I was pulled back from the brink. That miracle not only saved my life but ignited a burning desire to follow Jesus. Today, I serve as an evangelist and church planter, testifying that no matter how deep the darkness or how desperate the circumstances, God’s grace is always greater.
