A heartwarming drama about grief, community, and the families we choose.
Former football star Johnny Dunn has traded the spotlight for a quiet life running a roadside diner in tiny Jake’s Corner, Arizona, a place he owns, where a handful of eccentric locals live like one big family. When his sister and brother-in-law are killed in a car accident, Johnny is left to raise their young son, Spence. But Spence doesn’t remember the crash and believes his parents are still recovering in a hospital, so Johnny convinces the whole town to keep up the fragile façade. As Spence bonds with the colorful residents of Jake’s Corner, the community discovers that healing, and love, can come from the most unexpected places.
A touching story about loss, hope, and the meaning of family.
