Summary

SummaryI was born to a Yemeni Muslim father and a Filipina Catholic mother, raised Sunni and faithful to Islam’s rituals. Yet the more I memorized Qur’an, the more contradictions, fear, and inequality toward women gnawed at me.
When war hit Yemen, my husband, son, and I escaped to the Philippines. Despite praying, fasting, and reciting every dua, Allah felt silent— a wall I could not climb. One desperate night I cried, “Where are You?” and a gentle voice answered, “Seek Me.” I knew it was Jesus.
With trembling courage I told my Muslim husband, and together we followed that whisper into a church. There the promise of forgiveness by grace, not works, melted our fears. On 11 Nov 2018 my whole family was baptised. Now Jesus speaks, comforts, and carries us daily.
To every seeker: you don’t earn God’s love—just ask, and He will meet you. 🌿✝️✨
