What happens when we rely on our strength instead of obeying God?

In Week 1 of the Out of Focus series, kids learn from the story of Samson (Judges 13–16). Samson was incredibly strong, but his pride and disobedience caused him to lose sight of God’s purpose. This powerful Bible lesson teaches kids that strength without obedience leads to destruction.

Through this story, children will discover that God wants the eyes of our hearts to be enlightened (Ephesians 1:18) so we can clearly see the hope of His calling and live aligned with His Word.

Big Idea: Strength without obedience leads to destruction.
Series Verse: Ephesians 1:18
