Part 2 of 2 interviews discussing the principles and practice of baptism.
Broadcast in 2007 on Finnish television.
In the second interview, David looks at New Testament baptism in more depth to argue that baptism for babies is not supported by scripture. He responds to counter arguments in favour of infant baptism (or baby baptism as he prefers to call it), pointing out that “in all these attempts to justify baby baptism from scripture, two things that are distinctly different are being confused: circumcision and baptism are being confused; babies and children are being confused; households and families are being confused.”
As David states: “My conscience is captive to the Word of God and even if babies have been baptised for 1800 years, I still say what the Bible says is what I must go by. And it was my study of the Bible that changed my mind.”
