Summary

My name is Doug Lowery. I grew up in a Christian family in Montana, but despite a strong moral foundation, I always felt an empty hunger that nothing could satisfy. My life took a drastic turn when a near-death accident during a routine drive changed everything. After serving in the Marines and experiencing a lifestyle filled with temporary thrills that left me unfulfilled, I encountered a moment of divine intervention—a miraculous rescue that I believe was orchestrated by God. This terrifying yet transformative event made me realize that my true need was for Jesus. I discovered that Jesus, who was tempted like I was, could help me break the chains of sin and emptiness. I repented, embraced His forgiveness, and have since experienced true restoration and hope. Today, I share my testimony to encourage others to hunger for righteousness, knowing that God’s promise is sure.

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.” Matthew 5:6. Growing up, Doug found that he had questions and a longing in his heart that went unanswered. He had a hunger and a thirst, but didn’t know where to turn. Years later he experienced a fulfillment of Jesus’ promise that those who hunger and thirst, will be filled.
