What happens when we run from what God asks us to do?

In Week 3 of the Out of Focus series, kids learn from the story of Jonah (Jonah 1–4). Jonah knew God’s calling but chose to run the other direction. His decision led to chaos, confusion, and a storm at sea. But even when Jonah tried to run, God never stopped pursuing him.

Through this powerful Bible story, kids discover that avoiding God’s plan leads to confusion, but when we align our hearts with God, the full picture becomes clear.

This lesson helps kids understand that God’s plans are always better, even when they are uncomfortable or unexpected.

Big Idea: Avoiding God’s plan leads to chaos and confusion.
