What happens when we walk away from God?

In Week 4 of the Out of Focus series, kids learn from the powerful story of The Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11–32). The son chose his own way, chasing what he thought would make him happy, but it led him far from home and feeling empty.

But the story doesn’t end there.

When the son returned, his father ran to him, welcomed him back, and restored him. This Bible lesson teaches kids that no matter how far we wander, God lovingly welcomes us back with open arms.

Through this story, kids will discover that God’s love never gives up on us, and when we come back to Him, He restores, refocuses, and reminds us of who we are.
