I’ve always loved the beautiful poem written by Myra Brooks Welch, “The Touch of the Master’s Hand.”
Though the world may see brokenness… God sees our true value and worth! And our worth is not of ourselves! Our value is in the hands of God! The violin cannot restore itself or play itself, its value is only seen when in the hands of the Master!
We should never conclude that a person is worthless because of their past, their weaknesses, or their present circumstances. God is able to redeem a life that others have given up on.
Likewise, when we feel broken ourselves, we should not believe that our story is finished. The Master is still able to work in your life if you will surrender it to Him!
A life placed in Christ’s hands can do what it was designed to do! As the violin was meant to be played, our lives are to be an instrument in the hands of the Master!
You may feel like a worn-out instrument, but you are not beyond the Master’s hands. What the world overlooks, God can restore. What others call broken, God can use. What seems like an ending can become the beginning of a testimony.
When we surrender our lives to God, His grace can reveal a beauty, purpose, and worth that the world cannot see.
If you haven’t yet, I pray that you will give your life to Jesus Christ and place your life in the Master’s Hand today!
