Summary

I was a young man with big dreams, but I kept making choices that led me toward destruction. I joined the Army to escape my problems and provide for my wife, but I went AWOL when I realized she couldn’t handle being alone. After another betrayal, I felt so hopeless that I overdosed on pills and ended up in a coma. The doctors told my family I’d either die or remain in a vegetative state. Three days later, I miraculously came out of it completely healthy. That brush with death left me searching for answers about why I was still alive.

I discovered real hope in Jesus when a friend shared Scripture and showed me The Passion of the Christ. Seeing how much Jesus loved us, even while being crucified, rocked my world. I prayed, gave my life to Him, and soon realized that God had a plan to use the gifts He’d given me. I traveled with Christian dance ministries, met believers who poured into my life, and eventually met my second wife—a woman who loves Jesus as much as I do. Now we have a wonderful family, and I serve as a youth pastor. Sharing my testimony in the streets, churches, and anywhere God sends me, I want everyone to know that Jesus rescues us from our worst mistakes and fills our emptiness with His love.
