What happens when you flatline during a double lung transplant and meet the very person who gave you a second chance at life? In this extraordinary episode of Heaven Encounters, Randy Kay conducts a rare interview with Mike Olsen—directly from Mike’s hospital bed in the emergency room. Mike shares his gripping near-death experience (NDE) that occurred when a surgical complication caused him to bleed out on the operating table.
Mike describes the transition from hearing dark, berating voices to being surrounded by the joyous celebration of angels. He reveals the moment he stood in the presence of Jesus and was introduced to his organ donor, hearing the powerful words: “Mike, these are your new lungs. Receive them.”

Despite a journey filled with over 100 surgeries and ongoing health trials, Mike’s testimony is a masterclass in finding the “joy of the Lord” in the midst of suffering. Discover why he calls himself a “frequent flyer” in the ER and how he continues to minister to others even in his weakest moments.
