The story of the Exodus begins long before Moses stood before Pharaoh.
Journey through Egypt as we explore the world of the Israelites—from the arrival of Jacob’s family in Egypt to their eventual enslavement under a Pharaoh who did not know Joseph. Along the way, we visit the land traditionally associated with Goshen, examine archaeological evidence of ancient Semitic populations in Egypt, and travel the Nile to better understand the world into which Moses was born.
What began as a place of refuge became a place of oppression. But when Pharaoh ordered the sons of the Hebrews thrown into the Nile, one family chose faith over fear—and the story of an entire nation became the story of one child.
This is Chapter 1 of Out of Egypt: The Story of the Exodus, a four-part journey through the biblical account of the Exodus, filmed on location in Egypt and Jordan.
