Gadget is planning a trip on the Oriental Express Mystery Tour Train and is warned by Quimby about a MAD plot to kill him while aboard. Dr. Claw has hired Professor Shieskopf who invented The Grappler, a powerful eight foot creature who mangles and eats steel and metal. As Gadget prepares for a press conference, Capeman calls a cleaning service to get the house in order. He doesn’t realize that Claw has tapped the phone and is now posing as the cleaning service. Grappler is sent to “”clean”” Gadget’s house. Penny observes Grappler approaching the house and warns Brain. The Gadget security system turns the house into a fortress. Gadget mistakes Grappler for the cleaning man. Penny learns that Grappler is a MAD agent and that his only weakness is tidbits. She goes into the kitchen and brings him tidbits and traps him in Gadget’s cell. Claw is watching the events on a monitor and orders Professor Shieskopf to speed up the action. Shieskopf decides he could deal with Gadget better away from the house. He imitates Quimby’s voice and orders Gadget to go to the mystery train immediately. Gadget takes Grappler, who has escaped from the cell, with him. Penny tries to warn Gadget, but he leaves too quickly. She manages to give him the bag of tidbits. As Grappler is about to crush him, Gadget gives him the bag with the tidbits. The train leaves, under control of MAD. GADGET is giving a speech on the train when Professor Shieskopf dressed as an old woman enters. Grappler tries to kill Gadget, who thinks the monster is putting on a show. Brain saves Gadget by giving more tidbits to the Grappler. Chief Quimby, on a hand-car, with the police following, trying to catch the train. Gadget is thrown out of the train by Grappler and lands on Quimby’s car. Penny taps into Dr. Claw’s controls through her computer and stops the train. Penny uses kindness and tidbits to make Grappler good. Professor Shieskopf escapes reporting his failure to the ever frustrated Dr. Claw. SAFETY TIP: Too many sweets are bad for you. A well-balanced diet is best.
