Today, we have the privilege of hearing a powerful and life-changing testimony from our brother, Joshua. Joshua is also known by his Christian rap name, Joshua 1:9, a name inspired by the scripture that reminds us to be strong, courageous, and to trust in the Lord wherever we go. In this testimony, Joshua opens his heart and shares what his life was like before he came to know Christ. During that time, Joshua became involved in a gang and was deeply consumed by that lifestyle for many years, a path that ultimately led him down a very dark road. Eventually, that life caught up with him, and Joshua found himself behind bars. But it was during this dark and difficult season that someone came into his life—a man who began preaching the Word of God to him. That encounter led Joshua to make a decision he never thought he would make—a decision that would completely transform his life.
