My name is Asher Wilsher. I want to share how I walked with the Lord through seasons of deep sorrow and unexpected trials. While my journey began with Bible school in Russia and returning home to uncertain times, I was blessed with an unplanned pregnancy—a moment that brought both shock and overwhelming joy. As complications arose and fear gripped my heart during a critical cesarean decision, I experienced a crisis that nearly broke me. In that desperate hour, amidst tears, screams, and a chaotic hospital scene, the Lord revealed His comforting presence through Scripture. Though I endured heartbreak and the agony of nearly losing my baby, I witnessed His mercy and began to heal. Today, as I nurture my children and express my creativity in my studio—named in honor of the precious gift I once nearly lost—I stand as living proof that God transforms our ashes into beauty and restores our hope.

“Beauty for ashes” (Isaiah 61:3) aren’t just words beautifully strung together but rather they are life to those who have been in the valley of despair and mourning. Asher’s life and walk with the Lord is evidence to this beautiful exchange of beauty for ashes that the Lord bestows on His children as they encounter His goodness in difficult situations. The Lord’s heart and nature towards His children can be clearly seen in her story and her desire is for others to experience this deep relationship with the Lord that she has come to depend on daily.
