1. An Ordinance of the Church – It was ordained by Jesus himself. He told us to do this.
2. A Public Commitment of Faith – Baptism is an outward expression of an inward reality. Who does Jesus want the church to baptize? Everyone who has believed in him in their heart.
3. A Personal & Relational Blessing – Those being baptized experience God’s favor in doing it. And we are all blessed by it.

And baptism doesn’t just bless those being baptized.

God will bring give us joy today as we witness lives being changed by God.

God will give us hope today as he shows us that he is still active on this planet saving people from their sin.

God will give us peace today as we are reminded of our baptism, and that we are right with him through Jesus.

God will give us love today as we remember the death and resurrection of Christ. That’s love!

God is not just here to bless those getting baptized. He’s here to bless all of us.
