We’re often told that belief in God is the blind leap and atheism is where you land when you follow reason. Thaddeus Williams argues the opposite, that atheism requires more blind leaps than theism does, and he walks me through nine of them. His framing is that in most God debates the theist shoulders the whole evidential burden while the atheist position gets treated as the rational default. He wants to apply the same scrutiny in both directions.
