Fans of The Preacher’s Wife cannot miss this heartwarming movie, starring Loretta Devine. The choice of Loretta Devine, known for her strong and often nurturing roles, was a deliberate one, as the script was written with her in mind to bring the character of Mama Margie to life.

A teenager and her siblings are forced to move in with their Grandma, Mama Margie, because their parents are going through some hard times. They come to learn the true meaning of love, faith, and family from Grandma, through not only the strict rules she imposes, but also the strength and devotion she displays as the extended family has its ups and downs.
