We married quickly, but I was still broken and strayed into an affair when I felt worthless. Driving home drunk one night, God spoke to me so clearly: “Straighten up or I’m taking you out of this world.” Suddenly I was stone-cold sober, and I ran from that truck knowing He meant business. When Scotty confronted me—standing with arms outstretched like Jesus on the cross—I saw God’s forgiveness reflected in human form. In that moment, I finally felt truly loved and knew my sins had placed Jesus there for me.

Fifteen years later, God has restored our marriage beyond anything I could deserve. We have four beautiful children and a home filled with love and grace. Today I walk in freedom from abuse, addiction, and shame. I’m learning to forgive and to love as Jesus first loved me.
