In 2008 Australian Dr. Sean George was traveling with an intern when he felt a slight discomfort in his chest. Eighty kilometers away from the main hospital in Kalgoolrie, he decided to listen to a voice inside cautioning him to get to the nearest family practice in the small town of Kambalda. This was pivotal because in the following minutes of finding this family practice, Dr. Sean was in full cardiac arrest. His wife who was notified in Kalgoolrie set out with a team of medical personnel towards Kambalda, for she too was a doctor in the main hospital in Kalgoolrie. Meanwhile, Dr. Sean’s heart had stopped and the local practitioners in Kambalda worked tirelessly to resuscitate Dr. Sean but failed. When the first wave of medical personnel arrived from Kalgoolrie, Dr. Sean was put through another series of shocks to the heart that had reached an eerie 1 hour and 20 minutes by this time. The last wave of medical personnel came in that included his distraught and already grieving wife Sherry. After the final minutes of failed resuscitation on Dr. Sean George, it had now reached an exhaustive 1 hour and 25 minutes. They decided to desist their efforts of resuscitation. Dr. Sean was dead. Sherry approached her husband Sean with one last thought on her mind- the advice she received by her father about an hour before, “Sherry, go and pray for Sean”.
