Today, I can hear clearly, and the hole in my eardrum has miraculously healed. My testimony stands as a powerful reminder that with faith, God’s healing is not only possible but real.

Steve and Candy LaFlora have been Partners with Kenneth Copeland Ministries (KCM) for 33 years, and Candy serves on the worship team. Back in December, Candy felt something pop in her ear that left her in severe pain. After going to the emergency room, she was told it was an ear infection. She was prescribed a round of antibiotics, but after completing the round, there was no improvement.

Candy returned to the hospital, where the doctor performed several different tests. She had an inner and outer ear infection, as well as a hole in her eardrum which would require surgery. At this point, she had completely lost all hearing in her left ear, and they were unsure if she would get any of it back. When Steve asked Candy what was going on, she spoke out in faith, “I am healed.”
The Lord spoke to her saying that anytime she feels pain in her ear she is to say, “My hearing will return completely and the hole is completely healed!” Candy spoke out in faith once again and told the doctor that the hole would be healed by the time of the surgery, but the doctor wasn’t having it. He warned her that if she didn’t get the surgery, it would begin to affect her other ear, and she could lose her hearing entirely.

Candy didn’t receive the words of fear the doctor had for her. Instead, she continued to stand in faith. While singing onstage at a KCM meeting, she could barely hear the music above a whisper, and she just began to thank the Lord that she was walking this out by faith.

During Healing School at the meeting, Kenneth Copeland called out “hearing, hearing loss, hole in the ear” as being healed, and Candy immediately knew she had the fullness of God’s healing.

After the meeting, she took a hearing test, and they told her she had only 10% hearing in her right ear and 0% in her left. Candy knew it seemed like there was no change on the outside, but that is not how the Word of God works. He heals from the root!

When Candy was at another KCM meeting in Sacramento, in the middle of singing the offering special, her ears popped open! She immediately began praising the Lord, and Kenneth Copeland walked over and began prophesying over God’s calling for her in music ministry. He had no idea what she had been walking through!

When Candy returned home, she had another doctor’s appointment. She informed the doctor of how great she was feeling and how well she could hear; but when he checked, there was still a hole in her eardrum. He said she still needed surgery. That didn’t shake Candy’s faith, though. When we can’t see it on the outside, we need to see it on the inside.

At her next and last appointment, the doctor had to run three additional tests out of his disbelief. In the end, he couldn’t deny what he was seeing. Candy had been completely healed and no longer needed surgery! She couldn’t help but jump, rejoice and give God the glory! Jesus is our Healer, and He IS faithful!
