Summary

I am Heidi Baker, and for nearly 30 years I have served in northern Mozambique with IRIS Global. In our ministry, we see the gospel in action – bringing food, water, and the word of God to those in need. When a severe financial crisis threatened to force us to lay off our staff, God intervened in an unexpected way. While I was in America, a timely donation of $100,000 from Kenneth Copeland Ministries arrived through a miraculous package. This incredible provision not only saved our staff but also reaffirmed that all glory goes to Jesus, who transforms our lives with His love and grace.

Heidi Baker and her husband, Roland, founded IRIS Global over 30 years ago. The ministry is reaching over 37 different countries around the world. They reside in northern Mozambique where Heidi shares, “So many people are running to Jesus. His beauty, His glory, and His presence is just falling on us. I’ve never seen a harvest like this in all the years we have been there. I’ve never seen this kind of openness to the gospel.” Heidi and her husband have the perspective that the gospel looks like love in action. Therefore, if people are hungry, they bring them food, if people are thirsty, they dig them a well, and if people want to just hear the Word, they bring them audio Bibles. As they have been consistent to do these things, the walls that have kept other people from following Jesus have begun falling.
However, ministering to the poor and needy of Mozambique costs money. While on a ministry trip to the United States last year, Heidi received a phone call from her team stating that they were going to have to lay off half of the staff because they needed $97,000 to meet the budget. At that point in the trip, she was staying with her sister in Laguna Beach, Calif. One day, her sister brought her a package. Despite Heidi not having any personal contact with Kenneth Copeland Ministries, this package was from KCM. In the package was a book by and from Kenneth Copeland, and inside the book was a check from KCM written to her—for $100,000! She had two days left to pay her staff before needing to lay them off and God had answered the need without anyone being aware. He led Kenneth Copeland to partner with her ministry and that partnership brought them through. “Thank you so much to all the people who give and allow us to do what we do. We really are grateful. We are undone by it!”
