My name is Bernie May and this is my story. I was born under extraordinary circumstances—my mother, only 13 and in the eighth grade, faced an abortion, but my grandmother declared that I was a gift from God. I was born in the same bed where my mother was born, a living testament to God’s favor. As I grew up, I encountered challenges that tested my faith, including a near-death experience while flying over the Peruvian Amazon. That dangerous flight, set against the backdrop of the mysterious and untamed Andes, reinforced my belief that following Jesus is not always easy—but it is always worth it. Today, I live my life guided by the assurance that I am favored by God from birth, and I share my testimony so others may experience His transformative grace.
