Summary
SummaryI sobbed as I realized that even while I was still a sinner, Christ died for me… and He loved me anyway. I had been bound by every drink, smoke session, and line of cocaine—each one another shackle wrapping me in bondage. I ran on my own strength for too long, but I ran out of gas. God set me free, giving me the sweet gift of freedom and victory—today is the day! I answered the call to go with my church, Calvary Chapel Lynchburg, from Frankfurt to Warsaw and then on an 18-hour train into Kyiv, Ukraine. There, God opened my eyes to wounds I didn’t even know I carried—childhood abuse that shadowed my life. Through Jesus, I am no longer defined by my past or my addictions. I am John Angove, a recovering addict, and I live in the freedom Christ won for me. 🙌✨
