Summary

SummaryI (Josh) battled cystic fibrosis from childhood. In 2019 my lungs crashed to ~18–19% function; breathing felt like drowning. In Austin I was rushed to intermediate critical care, pressed to choose palliative sedation or a lung transplant. We prepared for death—even planned my funeral—yet kept praying. A first transplant call fell through minutes before surgery; later, we received early access to a new CF modulator. Within weeks, attacks eased; by Thanksgiving I fished without oxygen and later returned to work with lung function ~31–34%. Amy and I testify that Jesus sustained us in the darkest moments and turned despair into hope so I can dream of walking our daughter down the aisle. 🙏💨🫁🌊👨‍👩‍👧

This is Part 2 of Josh and Amy Glasscock’s story. We’ll hear how Josh’s cystic fibrosis has worsened and irreparably damaged his lungs. Soon, they’ll be confronted with several life and death decisions. Only God will be able to carry them through the storms ahead.
