Summary
SummaryI (Josh) battled cystic fibrosis from childhood. In 2019 my lungs crashed to ~18β19% function; breathing felt like drowning. In Austin I was rushed to intermediate critical care, pressed to choose palliative sedation or a lung transplant. We prepared for deathβeven planned my funeralβyet kept praying. A first transplant call fell through minutes before surgery; later, we received early access to a new CF modulator. Within weeks, attacks eased; by Thanksgiving I fished without oxygen and later returned to work with lung function ~31β34%. Amy and I testify that Jesus sustained us in the darkest moments and turned despair into hope so I can dream of walking our daughter down the aisle. ππ¨π«ππ¨βπ©βπ§
