Summary

I am Alex Daraug, a life changed by God for eternity. My journey began amid deep personal hardships after my father passed away, which led me to experience homelessness and the harsh realities of street life in Manila. In the midst of my struggles, a friend gave me a Bible that stirred a powerful encounter with the Lord. I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior, and that conversion transformed my life. Later, when heavy rains and floods hit during a GLC 4 class, my wife’s urgent texts alerted me to the crisis. Despite the danger, I volunteered to guide rescuers through the flooded streets and helped the PNP evacuate people near my home. Through that divine appointment, I was able to share the Good News with many in the evacuation center, demonstrating God’s orchestration for His glory and the expansion of His Church.

The night that Ondoy hit Manila, Alex was attending a GLC 4 class. His wife began texting him that the flood is already waist deep in their place. Wanting to still go home, Alex braved the floods. By God’s divine appointment, Alex was able to help the PNP rescuers evacuate the people near his home. Alex was also able to share the Good News to the people with his family in the evacuation center.
