Getting to know Alane and her story was awesome. She was so open and vulnerable about sharing such difficult and painful part of her life. She was also very excited to get her story of healing out there to other women who have gone through the same trauma as her. She even leads the Surrendering the Secret classes that she originally found healing at so her story has come full circle.

It’s been awhile since I’ve been able to film and edit a good story of life-change so this was such a rejuvenating experience for me and my passion for storytelling. It was fun trying some new techniques with filming the photos Alane gave me for b-roll. I loved using harsh lighting to create patterns and shaping the light to give interest to what would otherwise be photos placed on a side table. Actually took some inspo from my buddy @TylerEdwards .
