Summary
SummaryI lost friends, family, and my faith as I served in Iraq and Afghanistan. I was angry—hurting God for letting so much carnage rear its head. When I arrived in North Carolina, a Christian couple invited me to church, and for the first time in years, I felt peace. After returning to war, I survived more close calls, convinced I wouldn’t make it back. Then a dream of a bright figure saying “I am” shook me—I realized it was Jesus pursuing me. At the Blue Mosque in Turkey, I felt a pull saying, “You don’t belong,” and I surrendered my life to Christ. Now I run Redefined Warriors to help veterans find identity and purpose in Him. 🙏🔥
Waleed lost friends, family and his Muslim faith while serving as an interpreter during the US invasion of Iraq and then as a U.S. Army paratrooper in Afghanistan. His heart began to change when he experienced grace firsthand from Christian friends and had a dream about a man in white.
