Summary

Over the span of three and a half years, my husband Peter and I realized that our decision to adopt was deeply personal – we were adopting because we ourselves were ‘adopted’ into God’s family. This journey has been filled with challenges and blessings, culminating in our flight to Ethiopia to meet our daughter. Throughout this process, we saw a vivid picture of the Gospel in our adoption experience. Despite the difficulties, we felt God’s love and guidance every step of the way. Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross showed us the true meaning of adoption into God’s family, as He took on our sins and welcomed us as His children. Embracing this truth has filled our lives with peace, love, and joy, and we are grateful to be part of God’s family, ready to share this incredible love with others.
