My name is Joshua Chadwick, and I've battled drug addiction for over 20 years. It started with weed, then escalated to cocaine, pills, heroin, and eventually cooking, selling, and using meth. I'd steal from stores, pawn the items, and lock myself away for days, smoking or shooting up, only to crash and repeat the cycle in desperation. A misdemeanor warrant led to my arrest—I was tased by police and spent 30 days in jail, followed by three years of probation. But after just two months, I violated it and ended up back in jail, which brought me to this faith-based program. If I hadn't come here, I'd probably be dead by now. A friend who left the program died, and that woke me up. Now, as a new believer, I focus on studying the Word, praying, and being grateful for God's provisions—no more worrying about bills or clothes, everything is provided. 🙏 I've learned from mentors like John and Chris that there's another way to live: give it all to the Lord, trust Him, and be patient. My relationships with my parents, wife, and kids have strengthened tremendously. When I leave, I have a job waiting at Beef O'Brady's in Chipley, and I can't wait to make up lost time with my family—going to the beach, playing outside, being truly present. 🏖️ This place has taught me to take a leap of faith, because my old ways of quitting never worked. Trusting in Jesus Christ is the key to getting clean and staying clean for a long, prosperous life. ✝️
