I met Glen on a blind date when I was 22, and it was love at first sight—he burst in playing Rhinestone Cowboy on his guitar, and our whirlwind romance led to 34 years of marriage. We faced tough times, like his alcoholism that turned him into someone unrecognizable, full of anger and darkness, even pointing a gun at me once in a drunken rage. But through prayer and tough love, like recording his outbursts to show him the truth, he got sober when our daughter Ashley was born, staying clean for 15 beautiful years where faith strengthened our family. Then Alzheimer's hit, starting with repetition, depression, and OCD, robbing him of memories but not his spirit—he still praised God even in deep dementia. We toured one last time, sharing our story to help others, and my faith in Jesus carried me through as his caregiver until the end. Glory to God for the joys and the strength in our trials. 🙏❤️
